Hi Diego,
Thanks for your message re my Walker family in Uruguay. It was very
interesting. I got my information re Births and the Death from the
British Consular Returns available on Fiche from the LDS Library. I had
not thought of looking for Church Records and Civil Registration Records
from Uruguay itself through the LDS as I thought they would be in a
language I would not understand and that they may not include foreigners
(although they may have become citizens by then I suppose.) Anyway I
will look for them now.
Another thought I had was to put a similar notice to the one I put on
List in one of the local newspapers (if I could find the Name and
Address of one). People from overseas often do this in our local
newspapers in the guise of a letter and they are published in the
correspondence column at no charge. I don't suppose you can suggest such
a newspaper? Anyway nice to hear from you and thanks once again.
Brian
