> Greetings to All
>
> I have found 3 of my Gt Uncle's on the 1901 census for England and Wales.
It states they were British subjects born in Brazil.
> I'm now trying to find or locate their birth certificates.
> I have:
> Walter EDWARDS aged 5 in 1901 birth would be about 1896. born Brazil.
> Alfred H. EDWARDS aged 4 in 1901, birth would be 1897 born Brazil.
> Arthur D.M EDWARDS aged 1 in 1901 birth would be 1900
> also born in Brazil.
> They also had a sister Helen EDWARDS born in Lancashire, Manchester in
1893, aged 8 in 1901. Her parents left for Brazil not long after her birth.
>
> Their parents were William EDWARDS aged 44 in 1901, occupation cotton
merchant. Mother was Maud L. EDWARDS aged 29 in 1901.
>
> William EDWARDS, (born Lanc. Manchester 1859), also owned a plantation in
Brazil prior to his marriage, which may have been cotton or coffee. He was
in partnership with a Portuguese named Delmerio Mariano. William freed his
slaves which means he would have owned this plantation during the 1880's
and often traveled between Brazil and the U.K.
> Can anyone help or advise me how I could obtain these 3 sons' birthdates.
> Many thanks
