I am seeking information about persons named AUCHTERLONIE who emigrated from Scotland to Argentina..
I have found two references that may be relevant -
1 - Burial entry for John Auchterlonie, aged 38, born in Scotland, buried in 1865 at St Andrew's Scor\ts Church, Buenos Aires.
2 - An entry in an Argentina directory of 1863 by Mulhall for "A. Auchterlonie of calle Maipu 19, Buenos Aires."
3 - A diary reference to a "Mr Auchterlonie" who embarked in June 1869 at Argentina in a ship leaving for Britain.

I feel that these men may have been my grandfather's cousins David, John, James and Alexander Auchterlonie who ermigrated to America from Scotland in about 1840 when aged about 20 with their father David.
