Genealogical information on families connected with Fairforest Baptist
Church, Union Co. S.C.
Sarah Howard Putman, as late as 1845, was living with some of her=
children in Randolph Co. Alabama, then at the advanced age of ninety-five=
years . From the time she removed from Elbert Co., Ga., to Tennessee,=
until her brother James Howard received information of her being in=
Randolph County Alabama, covering a space of near fifty years, she had been=
lost to the family, and at once the fond relationship of her brother and=
sister were renewed, and the expectant brother set out in search of the=
long lost sister. He west to Randolph Co., Ala., but was dissappointed in=
finding the one he sought. He found a number of her descendants, but she=
was on a visit to some of her children who had remained in Tennessee, and=
thus the fond hope of her expectant brother was blasted. He returned to=
his home, since which the forty-five years have elapsed, and the curtain=
that has been drawn between this branch of the family and that to the=
Georgia and Alabama line was effectually separated them.
