From Dr. Godbey's Diaries
Friday, January 13, 1911

After I had gone to bed last night, I was called to George Middleton's to see
their baby. Visited Henry Simmons (to) see baby that got burned pretty badly
on left arm. On my way back home I stopped in to see Mr. Hugh Toohey. He is
liable to go at any hour, and he may live 36 hrs. longer. Mrs. P. J. Monroe &
children spent the day with Peggie - Peggie got quite nervous on account of
noise. Mary Rachaels daughter took red wing rooster to Lula Mae & West. Carl
came about 4PM to find out about Luther, but Luther had left Cave City
walking. No fire in heating stove today.

My comments:
I have no idea who Mary Rachael is, but I believe Lula Mae and West to be
Nathan Wesley Toohey and his wife. Nathan Wesley (b: 18 Mar 1882, d: 14 Nov
1951) was a son of Hugh Toohey. Perhaps we will learn who Carl and Luther are
later.
