From Dr. Godbey's Diaries
Wednesday, February 22, 1911

Went after Peggie. She arrived on time, 11:06 AM, with 2 full sacks & 2
baskets, & grippe. Our folks in Louisville are well. John has purchased a
new Underwood TypeWriter. Thinks he can hold his new job down pretty well.
Washington's birth day. (side note) Peggie got back from Louisville, KY, been
gone since Saturday, eleven (11 days)

My comments:
"Our folks" is underlined. I have no idea if the good doctor meant just
Hallie and Russell, or it included a larger family. Probably the latter,
since he mentions a John. I have no idea who John is, but the doctor must
have thought a new typewriter was a big deal, from the way he wrote it. P.S.
Do you think our doctor missed his Peggie?
