Friday, February 24, 1911
Visited Mr. Levy Sturgeon's widow. She had fainted. They had only been
married about five months. Levy Sturgeon & a companion was out hunting; this
companion claims he went to shoot a bird & Levy passed in front of his gun
just as he pulled trigger. Shot Levy in bowels. Was a large crowd at Mrs.
Harrison Sturgeon's to attend funeral.
My comments:
What a tragedy!! The doctor seems to take pains to avoid naming the
companion; I wonder who he was?
