From Dr. Godbey's Diaries
Friday, March 24, 1911

Didn't get up very early. At 7:20AM Samie (or Sonnie) Denison (should be
Dennison) called to me to his house. I got there at 8:20AM, by 9:30AM a 10
pound boy put in his appearance. I got home at 11:45AM. Pretty Peggie had
dinner ready. Mr. Reynolds, insurance agent, was here. Taylor was up this
PM, we went to blacksmith shop, from there up to the field where Claud & Price
are harrowing.

My comments:
I really am not sure about Mr. Dennison's first name. It could be either, but
somewhere in the back of my mind, the name Sam Dennison sounds familiar. Are
there any list members so far removed from farm life you don't know what
harrowing means?
