>From Mr. Briggs I went to Mammoth Cave and surrounding area collecting. I
collected $7.00; got back home just before dark. We had a real good prayer
meeting last night. Nearly all of us the meeting. Am tired tonight, and am
going to bed early! I rec'd a letter from my niece, Hattie May (or Maye) Lee.
Mr. Ganter (or Gauter) would have me to go in and eat dinner. It was a good
dinner too! Snowed today.
My comments:
Collecting......now that would be a chore that I would hate! I have no
information whatever on Hattie May/Maye Lee or Mr. Ganter/Gauter. Today's
entry is very hard to read. The entry is longer than usual, and all scrunched
at the bottom, then the doctor wrote up the side and then upside down across
the top of the page.
