On the puzzler - the answers started rolling in and more and more of you
got the right answer. I KNOW I have you scanning books, searching the
internet - that's the purpose. Sometimes, the answer seems so obvious, but
is so wrong!

Conversion in the text I was searching for: "in old court records this
means that one person is charged with stealing personal property from
another." Normally this led to the individual making use of what he had
stolen as if it was his own. So, conversion can not only be applied to a
religious conversion, or converting money from one exchange to another, but
also a dastardly deed!

Ready for the next puzzler? This will be answered next week; if you have
guesses, please send them to me privately.

The time frame would be in the 1860's. What or who were copperheads and by
what over name were they known?

See you tomorrow- hopefully, I will be meeting one of our listers today,
Nichelle Hayes and I'm so pleased to finally get to meet her after many
years of correspondence on the list!

Sandi
