I checked The Shannon Family Tree book that I have, written by Harry Raymond
Allen in the 1970's. This is the information on John SHANNON and Cynthia
BAKER. John SHANNON born May 1, 1807 Tenn. died Aug 5, 1884. Married to
Cynthia E. BROCKMAN, daughter of John BROCKMAN and Marie WATSON of Va.. She
had formerly been married to Jerman Perry BAKER, and to this marriage there
were two children: a girl and a son , John J. P. BAKER. Cynthia E. BROCKMAN.
born Oct 8, 1819 Pulaska Co. Va. died June 3, 1863 Sulphur Well, Ky. they
both were buried in the BROCKMAN Cemetery on the homestead. John SHANNON was
the son of Samuel SHANNON Sr. born August 15, in Virginia. died August 15,
1854. He was married to Isabella PATTERSON, December 23, 1794. She is the
daughter of William PATTERSON and his wife Jane PATTERSON. She was born June
20, 1773: died June , 29, 1845 They are buried in the Shannon Cemetery, Knob
Lick, Metcalfe County, Kentucky. Samuel SHANNON was the son of Robert
SHANNON and his wife Florannah they came to America from Ireland some time
before 1770, and settled in Pennsylvania, according to records found in the
Shannon Family Bible.
