By the granddaughter I was told that Mattie late
in pregnancy fell off the cliff and miscarried
the baby and died herself a few days later.

Young Cemetery – Metcalfe, Kentucky. Head south
on 2389 just before Morris road at the edge of a
field in the woods and very overgrown is this old
cemetery. It has an old gated fence around
it. What I found while climbing through it. Surveyed May 2009 by Kris Oleson.

The people down who live on Morris road said
among the graves is a mother who died in
childbirth having a set of twins and all three are buried here.

Large upright stone found face down.
Broken and can’t read name but 1 September 1860 followed by broken base

Field stones at least 8 that I could see.
And in the middle of the cemetery a turkey nest with 11 eggs.
