Emma... I'm not opposed to schleppin' a cup here and there, fer shure. But, dang, this was just too much considering. My hubby does his own coffee - cuz as you mentioned about not getting the right amount of cream/sugar - I just can't seem to get it just right!! <G>.... ain't I the one!

I feel sorry for your husband if he ever gets out of line. That iron skillet would raise quite a bump on his head.

I agree, that she should have nipped that in the bud a LOOOONNG time ago. I've taken a cup of coffee to my husband in bed, but it wasn't demanded of me. I did it to please him. That was not an every day occurrence either. Thank goodness he took his coffee black, or maybe I would have been in trouble for not get the right amount of cream and sugar in it, you think? Really, he was a sweetheart, even when he was sick.

I met a couple, husband/wife. The wife was a shorty, only 4'11", plus she had an operation in the orphanage causing one leg to be noticeably shorter than the other - also causing constant her pain. I'm in their kitchen - teeny tiny kitchen - so small, the fridge was in the utility room. The Woman makes coffee, has the creamer, sugar bowl, spoons on the table. Sets each filled up coffee cup down; one for me, one for her husband, and one for herself. I put in my cream. Woman puts in her cream. Husband says: Woman you FORGOT to put the sugar in my coffee - then he leans back in his kingly chair. This little crippled woman jumps up, goes around the table, picks up his spoon, and sugars his coffee. The sugar bowl was sitting right in front of him as was his own spoon! I tried to intervene as the woman as getting up but No Way. The woman is in her 70s... crippled... and in pain!!! What's wrong with this scenario??!!! I couldn't believe my ears, then I cou!

n't believe my eyeballs - either one of them. I know, I know, some will say this was between the husband and wife - but come on all ready!! Ya just have to be kiddin' me. I am mortified.... mortified, I tell ya.

paulette in sw fla usa..... later, when I was alone with the husband, I quietly told him that I would have sugared his coffee for him, all righty - then I would have sugared his head with that iron skillet!
