Sorry... that was College Park MD.
Did I understand that the complete file (allowed) is on microfilm for
Alabama at Wash DC? Have these files been helpful in doing genealogy
research? Where I am going with this is a couple of missing people in
the Frederick line in Marion Co. Al. James A. Frederick, John E.
Frederick and Robert M. Frederick left out together on late night in
1862 to join either Union or Confederate army. They were never heard
from after that. I have searched the Confederate rosters and Union
rosters... nothing!

Is there an advantage to looking at the original paperwork... the
microfilm ?
