My grandfather, Ernest Arthur CHANDLER, was apparently the manager of the
Galle Face Hotel in Colombo sometime around the period 1915-1925. His wife
Florence Amy ran a dress shop which I believe went under the name of Madame
Aimee. Are there likely to be any records?

My father was out in Ceylon with them from the age of 4 to the age of 8,
when he was sent home to boarding school at Clifton in Bristol. My father is
no longer alive, so I can't confirm it, but I believe from various family
notes that he attended a boarding school at the young age of 4 together with
the actor Trevor Howard. This was I think a place called Haddon Hall, near
Kandy. Does this seem likely?
