John,

If you do a parent search on IGI using Joseph Robinson and Lucy you get
four children Nancy 1808, Joseph 1810, Sarah 1813 and Elizabeth 1815. All
christenings take place at different churches around Tipton, Darlaston and
Wednsebury which look all within a stone's throw of each other.

I believe Ann, Hannah and Nancy are all interchangeable, so you Ann
could quite possible be Nancy although her age differs by a couple of years
with 1851 census. I'd check more than one.

How do you prove it? That's the question.

You need to find the marriage of James Edwards and Ann Robinson. I had
no luck on a quick search. Hopefully the PR's will show parents. Or perhaps
you can find Ann's death and certificate will show parents.

Maybe somebody on the list has better knowledge of locally available
records.
