information on them. I also have another Staley not included below. She is on
my father's side and the listed below on my mother's side. Rose Staley b in

Copy of Catherine Meeks Staley's obituary from Tama County IA paper:

Death of an Early Settler.
STALEY, Catherine Meeks born near Lancaster, Ohio June 15,1813. She was
married to Jacob S. Staley Dec 19,1830 and was converted and joined the
Methodist Church about that time. In 1852, they removed to Iowa and settled
near Toledo. In 1865 they removed to East Lynn, MO. Here, her husband died
about 10 years ago. On Feb 17,1893, after a long illness, she died. She was
patient in her suffering and was a faithful member of the church. Six
children with many grandchildren survive her. All the old settlers in Toledo
and Tama County know her and the family and will learn with sorrow of her
death.

This is Polk Township there are approximately 125 marked graves in the
cemetery. The Staley Mound Cemetery is located on Highway K, NE of Lynn, MO,
which is East of Harrisonville, Missouri, Cass County. Two and one half
miles North of E Lynn, then one mile east , and one half mile south.

In 1973, the cemetery was on the farm owned by Mr. Bill Dakan, Route 2,
