I believe we may be searching for similar ancestors. My great great was William Stanger born about 1835 who served in the Civil war from Truxton NY. His brother was Thomas. I am looking for their England birthplace and believe it to be from the Cumberland area versus Faceby. He was not Mormon nor any of our family to my generation. Could you update me on your successes?
