I don't believe anyone has blamed the AB for this issue, but I do believe we
should hear from the people we elected. That's their job. They should join
this discussion and let us know what their feelings are. They may have a
whole different perspective that we aren't aware of, but we don't know that
unless we hear from them.
The point was brought up that the National pages are not on Rootsweb. This
is true, so does this mean our National pages won't be branded? Where does
that stand?
Isn't it the job of every SC or ASC to take this back to their states and
let their CC's know what's going on? I've heard from two people in two other
states than mine that told me they had no idea this discussion or issue had
even come up.

In fairness to the AB, this is not their fault and if you think of it, the
AB can not speak for the SCs or CCs. If the SCs wish to change how their
state is hosted, it is up to the SCs to make that decision and nothing the
AB can say changes that. I trust that our AB has done all that is possible
to avoid the present situation since each of them is also a CC first. Once
the final word came from TGN, it was posted and there really is not a lot to
add. TGN is the only one who has any real leverage at this point and the
seem to be willing to kiss the USGenWeb good-bye rather than give an inch.
No doubt they expect the majority to hang around for their free web sites
but I seriously doubt that many will be interested in signing on to their
AUP.
Just think of it, all the AB could actually negotiate was the national home
page and they would not even leave that alone although it does not even have
a Rootsweb URL.
Just MHO,
Nola
