Hello Kirsty: I'm just looking at my Bovey Tracey Steer's. However, by coincidence there are/were Maunders in Bovey when I was growing up there in the 1940's-50's. I'm a member of the Rootsweb STEER family list and will copy your email to John Steer our List host who will possibly be able to link you to those searching the Suffolk Steer's. Nice to hear from you, Mike.

Dear Michael

As a member of the Devon list, I have seen your name pop up on various e-mails over the last few months and this brought me to wondering, are you doing a one-name study on the Steer family, or just your own? I am somewhat stuck with a far flung family of mine - the Steer's - back in the 1790s in Suffolk. I don't know whether you would be interested/be able to help in any way.

Please contact me if my information would be of any help to you or if you might be able to assist me in my search.

Many thanks
Kirsty Maunder
