Richard Steer born 1743 married to Jane Ryder in Aveton Gifford.

Richard and Jane had three or maybe four children:

Richard Steer born 1765 - Jane Widger in 1791
Mary Steer born 1766
Michael Steer born 1769 - married Mary Elliott
James Steer (still up in the air with this one)

I have a copy of the baptism extract for Betsy Cowle Steer in 1793, and her parents are listed as Michael and Mary Steer. The copy is not great, but it is certainly Michael's name, listed.
