Subject: STEER - Brighton, end of a Steer line?

Thanks for all the help I have had from you, it has been wonderful to find
out so much in such a short time.

It seems the Steer name through my great grandfather may have come to an
end. William Steer b 1822, had two sons, George b 1859 and Thomas b 1863.
Thomas married Lucy Ann Boxall, and they had one daughter, Charlotte, and
three sons, George b 1882, John Thomas STEER, b 1888 (who was my
Grandfather),Arthur, b 1890 and Herbert b 1897.

John Thomas Steer married Ethel WATTS, they had one son, John James, born
1910, and three daughters, twins Lucy Ethel and Rose Winifred, born 1915,
and Ellen Dorothy May, born 1925.

John James married Alice CAMERON, they had one child, a son, John Alistair,
born 1930, currently living in Toronto, married twice but no children frome
either marriage.

Of my great uncles, George died during WW1, as far as we know he was not
married. Herbert was married to Mabel (sorry, no surname available as yet),
they had a son who died in infancy and one daughter, Gwen.

The only two possibilities of the STEER name through this line would be
either through William's son George, or my great uncle Arthur. If anyone can
provide information on either, I would be very grateful.

Many thanks, happy new year to one and all,
Madelaine
