Hi

I am still using Family Tree Maker. Started with Version 4. At the moment I
am using version 7. I will need to upgrade this year.

It was handy to back up the family tree for my cousin to download in her
computer using a different family tree program.

I have tried the others but always came back to family tree maker. You can
scan and copy photos, birth, marriage and death certificate and also census
forms. It is very easy to back up on a CD drive.

Oh yes, you can record sounds. If you can get the family to read a little
poem that can be save too. I am in the process in collecting info on the
family eye and hair colours and which hands they use to write. All this can
be put in Notes. Which hand? I find my males are right handed and most of
the females are left ones.
