A couple for the Jasper Melting pot. ( from Earle )
from Kingbridge Circuit Babtisms 19th Dec 1837 - 26th June 1849
1. No. 48. Bapt. on 17th May 1841 Joanna dau of Jasper and Harriet Steer of West Alvington.
William Hill was Minister
2. No. 83. Bapt on 21 May 1843 Mavis aged 7 weeks Dau of Jasper and Harriet Steer of West Alvington.
Wm Rouch was Wesleyan Minister.
Another little snippet:- Jasper Steer (1760-1845) who married 1/ Jane Kennard and 2/ Sarah Bartlett was at some time a farmer at Culverwell Farm Churchstow.
For Deidre Their was a posting on the mailing list by Andy Steer dated 14 Dec 2004 . It concerned tombstones in Brixham ( St. Mary's ) Churchyard and included some "Jaspers". You may not have been subscribing to the list at this time but you can look at the back numbers.
POSTSCRIPT FOR EVERYONE!
