I am searching for information on Stevens Family members from Nebraska and later Cawker City, Kansas. There were 13 children of William and Elizabeth Stevens. I have some questions about most of them. First, there are five of the children I know nothing about: Albert born in 1863, Alonzo born in 1866, Isaac born in 1868, Rosa born in 1879 and Fred born in 1881. I know that Rosa and Fred were minors when William and Elizabeth died.

So, What could have happened to them? Married? Ran-away from home, Adopted? Died? The second child was named "Nebraska" and was killed in Cawker City Kansas when he was bitten by a rabid wolf and later died. He ws only 16 at the time. There must be some records about these people. They were all to young to have fought and died in the civil war. And they were most likely to old for WWI. What do you all think?

I also have a question about their son Thomas. Thomas H. Stevens was born in 1856. On the Census for 1900 it shows he has a wife and a son and three daughters. His wife, her name is Cora has the same birth year listed as does their son, Bert. The daughters were all born between July 1884 and Nov. 1898. It actually says for Cora: June 1880, age 20. and for Bert March 1880, age 20. That makes him 2 months older than his mother. Do you think he could have been born before she was????. Ah, right!! I think there was a first wife. Did she die? Were they divorced? What??? And, what has happen to all of William and Elizabeth's Grandchildren?
