Hi Mary, I've heard previously that Aaron was sometimes used instead of Arran
(named after the island off Ayrshire). The usual story is that an immigration
clerk would ask your name and write down what the clerk thought how it
should be spelled. That spelling then became your name.

Tell your hubby to watch out for sudden drafts!

In Winston Co. Mississippi to own and operate a grist mill during the
1820-30-40's. That was the paper trail he left.
If someone can help us prove he was a Human Stewart--I'll go out and
buy a Kilt for my husband, so he can Honor his GGgrandfather.
