Hello,

A fellow STEWART mailing list member put me onto a book written by
Sarah-Finch M. Rollins called "The Maiden Family of Virginia and Allied
Families". This book has quite a lot of marvelous and well documented
history of the Stewarts who started out in Newtown, NY, moving into New
Jersey, Delaware, and surrounding areas. She has written short histories
(some entire chapters) in this book of Dr. John Stewart & his wife and her
ancestors, David Stewart, Samuel Stewart, John Stewart, and many, many
more. I got so interested in this that I contacted the author and inquired
about getting a copy of the book. The book is out of print now (get a bunch
of requests and maybe we could get her to go for another printing!!) .

I was able to see a copy of this book through an inter-library loan.

I told her of the existence of the STEWART mailing list and she asked me
to post her line. Because she is not happy with her internet service
provider and plans on some immediate changes, she asks that anyone who has
any questions or !!?? HOPEFULLY !!?? more information to please send snail
mail to her for the time being. Her name is Sarah-Finch M. Rollins, 777

She is very interested if anyone else has traced their ancestory back to
Dr. John Stewart or if anyone knows any further information about him.
