Greetings:

Am looking for info on George Washington Stuart, my great grandfather.
Apparently from PA (Philadelphia?). Served in Union Army as a doctor--may
have spent part of war in TN.

Sometime after the Civil War, he moved to TN where he married a woman named
Elzona (maiden name unknown but born around 1865). This was his second
marriage. His family in PA had all died due to illness or some
catastrophe--details unknown at this time. He was probably 20-30 yrs older
than Elzona. He had at least two children--Clifton Lee (my grandfather)
and Trixie Stuart. By the early years of this century the family was
living in Nashville, although by then G.W. was probably deceased.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
