Hello, all STUART / STEWART people

I am putting this rather lengthy result of some of my study of the clan on the net to stir up comments
from others. The first three family group records were taken from data in the book GENEALOGIES
OF KENTUCKY FAMILIES, from the Kentucky Historiacal Society. These records stop with James
STUART, born 1777 in Montgomery County. I cannot prove that my gg grandfather David STEWART
was the son of James, but it seems VERY likely.

The records of David and his offspring are proven by the census records of 1850, 1860, and 1862, as well
as the inscriptions on tombstones in the Stewart family cemetary. These were sent to me by a historian
at the Lincoln County Historical Library in Missouri.

The William STUART mentioned by Gary Stuart recently and the Zebulon, Charles, and Mary Jane
listed by Mary MacKenzie MAY be siblings of David.

Let me know what you think. I sincerely hope that I am not violating your bulletin board by filing such
a lengthy story.
