Looking for help on connecting the following Stewart Lines.

My Line:
William Stewart:
Born: December 10,1798 in Massachusettes, died 11/28/1865 Rock County, WI
Married: Elsie Wicks from New York State
Had at least one child, who's name was William Stewart b. 1836 Somerville,
St Lawrence, NY

Possible connection:
William Stewart:
Born: December 10, 1798 in Colrain, Massachusetts, was residing in Rock
County according to SCM as provided by info from Frank B Severence. Also
Mentioned in "History of Colrain, MA" by Ann McClellan. Family dates back
to 1600's. Same info also found at FHC.
Wife unknown
Children unknown
Father: Enos Stewart b. July 15, 1766 Colrain, MA
Mother: Lucretia (Sally) CLARK b. July 20, 1767

As you can see there are some good similarities here. Same birth date,
same state for birth and same state/county and for death. I just would
like proof that these William's are one in the same. Anyone got any ideas?

My William was a Colonol, of what I do not know. Some say civil war,
others say NY Militia. They were in Wisconsin by 1836.

Any and help appreciated, for those who like descendants charts read on.
