I have been searching for info on the following line:

John STEWART was born 3 May 1806 in Va. He married Melinda WOODS,
dtr of Andrew WOODS. Melinda was born in Mercer Co., Ken. They appear
in the 1850 Census for Monroe Co., Mo. as follows:

413/413 John Stewart 42 Farmer $1,200 Va.

I actually wouldn't swear to the name Aaron - the name definitely begins
with 2 "A"'s, but it is rather difficult to make out. According to
information handed down to me by a cousin, John was the son of John
STEWART, born Aug 1, 1782 in Va. I know absolutely nothing more about
this man. I do know that the WOODS family extends back to Augusta &
Albemarle Cos., Va, Andrew WOODS being the son of Archibald WOODS.
There is a rather famous family of STUARTS in Augusta Co., and I have a
feeling that my line connects with theirs, but I know not how. I've
found references concerning some of those STUARTS migrating the Monroe
Co., Mo. in the online index to for the SCM, but I haven't been able to
find a copy of the SCM to look at.

Well, if anybody out there has some clues or information for me, I would
be most appreciative.
