Subject: Moore's Creek Bridge Battle Reenactment Weekend

The 224th anniversary of the Revolutionary War Battle will be held this
weekend near Currie NC ( Wilmington area ). Reenactors dressed as
patriots and loyalists will engage in mock battles. Folk singers and
storytellers such as Ken Bloom and John Golden will perform both days.
Broadsword demonstrations, cannon and musket firings will also take
place. The NC Army National Guard Band will play on Sunday at 1:30 as
part of the memorial program.

Also- on June 10- Scots Heritage Day will take place. The author of "
Carolina Scots ", Dr. Douglas Kelly , will be the guest speaker.
Traditional highland music , bag piping , Scottish Country dancing will
be part of the event.
