Harold O. STEWART, 84, retired farmer, died peacefully, Sunday, Dec. 24,
2000, at a local hospital following a short illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at Cloverdale Funeral Home and Memorial
Park, 1200 North Cloverdale Road, Boise, Idaho, Friday, Dec. 29, at 11
a.m., with Pastor Jim Steiner of the Second Baptist Church officiating.

Harold was born Nov. 18, 1916, at Thomas, Okla., to Henry V. and Emma
STEWART.
The Stewart fmily came to the Boise Valley and settled in the Lower Fairview
Community near Star, Idaho. Upon graduation from Nampa High School in 1933,
Harold took over the family farm because his father was in poor health.
He married Maxine E. JACK on May 27, 1939. They lived on the Stewart farm
for 10 years followed by purchasing three other farms over the next 40
years - in Kuna, Boise, and Meridian.

In 1985, he and Maxine retired to a home near Five-Mile and Overland in
Boise.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Maxine; three daughters, Jeanie
BLATTNER and husband, Bill of Meridian, Linda Kay ALLEN and husband, Harry
of Boise and Marcia Dee BALLARD of Blackfoot. He is also survived by four
grandchildren, Dawn HOLMES and husband, Joe of Indian Valley, Idaho, Jack
BLATTNER and wife, Lori of Kuna, Jana BALLARD of Seattle, Wash., and Abagail
BALLARD of west Yellowstone, Mont. He also leaves three great-grandchildren,
R.J. and Lily Anne HOLMES of Indian Valley and Ross Noy BLATTNER of Kuna;
and one sister, Violet GROSS of Kuna. He was preceded in death by his
parents;
a sister, Evelyn; and a brother, Raymond of Eagle.
