Subject: Cemetery in CA Stewart's plot / NY/NJ Stewart search

Hello list,
Thought I would post to the list to ask about overgrown cemeteries. We were
at the Cherokee Cem. in Butte County CA yesterday and saw two Stewarts in a
plot where a tree has grown up right in between the two graves and has
covered the Stewart markers unless you climb in between the tree brances. The
markers show death dates of 1930 and the tree isn't a sapling. Is this normal
in older cemeteries?

Also, took a picture of Robert E. Stewart's marker in same cem. Died Age 21
in 1883. If you would like me to email you the picture let me know.

Sincerely,

Donna Patterson

Still Looking for our NY Stewarts. Right around 1800 I figure John and Rachel
(maiden name?) were born. Caroline was born in NY in 1824 (or 1822) and she
had a brother most likely named John. They ended up in Monmouth County, NJ
