If you get an email that bears my name as the sender and has a file with
an .exe extension, DO NOT OPEN it!
My computer was infected by the W32/Magistr@MM virus/worm due to a
oversight of our MIS department. The worm "robbed " email addresses from
my hard drive and others people's hard drives and compiles fake email
messages in order to infect other computers. The virus can use file
fragments from my computer or someone upline from me and send the
message to someone in your address book.
It is always good practice to NEVER open .exe files or attachments
without first scanning them. If you receive a unsolicited file,
especially from someone you don't know, just delete the file.
Sorry if your computer may have been infected.
