There were some Stewarts that settled in Jackson Co Al in the 1830's. They
migrated to Jackson Co from Franklin Co TN and before that from Hawkins Co
TN. I believe they lived in an area called "Pleasant Grove" Al. This
Stewart line is from Surry Co NC, Henry/Grayson/Patrick/Carroll Co Va.
The names of the Stewarts would be Nathaniel and Hamilton Stewart and their
families. They were living near the Rice, Stubblefield, Jacoway families.
Hope this helps.
