I keep waiting for some of you to write more on our Alabama, Tennessee,and
Mississippi Stewarts.

This is a real brick wall for several of us.
Aaron is the one I'm after. He was a grist mill owner.

Tax list 1816 Monroe County Alabama. Aaron-Benjamin-Larkin-Solomon and
William Stewart are listed.

AIS census lists 1816--Aaron Stewart Monroe Co. Al. Alabama Territory.

- How many of the same men showed up in Pickens Co?

Aaron is the one I'm after. He was a grist mill owner.
We have War of 1812 Certificate and documents. Aaron Joined in Wilson Co.
Tn
and left service at Lebannon, Wilson co Tn. He was a private in Capt.
Harpole's
Company of the Tennessee Militia. Pension certificate dated 10 October
1860
To Sarah Stewart.

We have letters written testifying as to Aaron Stewarts service in war of
1812.
One letter is from a male Hazel Stewart who swears that he is brother to
Aaron
Stewart and brother in law to Sarah Brock Stewart.
