My ancestors are listed in the Stewart Clan Magazine index. They are;

PATRICK STEWART, b. c. 1715 of Cumberland, VA - d. before 26-Oct-1773

JAMES STEWART, b. c. 1755. Resided in Russell Parish, Bedford Co., VA in 1773. He died before 24-Aug-1784. Married to SARAH HARRIS, dau. of CHARLES HARRIS.

NATHANIEL STEWART, b. 1781 of Bedford Co., VA. Died in 1835. Married MILDRED SLEDD in Amherst Co., VA on 19-Dec-1807.

JAMES W. STEWART, b. c. 1820 in VA. He married MARTHA ANN TURPIN 29-Sep-1847 in Bedford Co., VA. They moved to Lincoln Co., MO by 1849. He then served as a Confederate soldier for VA during the war.

MILDRED ELIZABETH STEWART, b. 23-Mar-1851 in Elsberry, Lincoln Co., MO. On 5-Sep-1869 she married ABNER VERN BLACKORBY. In 1886, she and her husband moved to Towner co., ND.
