Hello Listers - I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I thought I would
start off the new year by posting my line.

The earliest I know of is -

Joseph Stewart, (according to The Past & Present of Marshall County, Iowa,
was the Son of John Stewart) . Joseph Stewart was born abt 1800 NY From Past
and Present of Marshall County, Iowa, graciously shared by Dennis & Vickie
Stewart, "Joseph Stewart. . . born in Warren, Herkimer County NY, in 1800". and
died. Jan 25, 1882, Malden, Bureau Co., ILL. He married 1st in Truxton,
Courtland Co., NY, Betsy Souls (d/o William Souls & Deborah ___), she was born
1819, Truxton, Courtland Co., NY, (Past and Present of Marshall County, Iowa,
says she was born 1818, Schoharie County, New York) and died in 1848 Truxton,
Courtland Co., NY. The Past and Present of Marshall County, Iowa, married second
Jane Rose "and they came to Illinois in 1856, locating in Lee County, where
his second wife died".

John Bolton Stewart, was the son of Joseph Stewart & Betsy Soule. He was
born Oct 21 1847/48 in Truxton, Courtland Co., New York and died Mar. 28 1910
Mineral Wells, TX and buried Aaron, OK. On the 1900 Greer Co. OK Census -
John B. lists is date of birth as Oct. 1848.
John Bolton Stewart married Elizabeth Matilda Lawless, Oct. 8, 1875, in
Pleasanton, Atacosa Co. TX. She was the daughter of Theophilas Lawless and
Felicitas Camp. Elizabeth M. was born 1 Feb 1849(8) in LA , or AL ,[ I tend to go
with the LA] and died 22 Apr 1903, Aaron OK. Elizabeth M. Lawless was a
widow with one son, John F. whom John B. adopted.

Alva (Alvah) T. Stewart, was the son of John Bolten Stewart & Elizabeth
Matilda Lawless. He was born May 9 1881 in Pleasanton, Atascosa Co., TX, and died
Nov. 28 1957, Hollis OK. He married Bell Barnes in Altus, OK on Aug 31,
1902. Bell Barnes, born 24 Aug. 1886, Corsicana, Navarro Co., TX, was the
daughter of John Samuel Barnes and Georgia Belle Mizell.

Dorothy Faye Stewart, daughter of Alvah T. Stewart and Bell Barnes, was born
Nov. 2, 1907, Altus, Ok., died Dec 21, 1962, Hobart, OK, buried Roosevelt,
OK. Married Luther Clifton Cheuvront

And then there was me - Dorothy, daughter of Forothy Faye Stewart and Luther
Clifton Cheuvront.
