My most ancient Stewart is William Shepard Stewart who was born in Missouri
in 1832. He moved to Tennessee and married Susan Springer in McNairy
County, Tennessee in 1853. Their oldest son was Thomas Alexander Stewart who
moved to McCurtain County Oklahoma. Most of the other children moved to Hays
County Texas or to Frio County Texas.
