Dear Angela, Do you have any information as to where John E. and Esther
lived before going to Kansas? If they might have come from Ottawa or LaSalle
co IL. I have information on 2 of three brothers. John Bowen Strait
b.dec221836 came to Humboldt co. Iowa. Emra H. b.Apr 15 1841 stayed in
LaSalle Co IL. and I am searching for the third brother Edward. b.10
june1839 all born in Allegany Co NY. Father Joshua and grfather Jobe. I
vaguely remember names like Jasper and Old Hick or Hickory being mentioned.
I thought they lived in Minnesota, but that was over 60 years ago. Memories
aren't always correct. Pat
