Subject: My STROUD Line in GA

Boy, I sure hope someone can help me with this line! I am getting
a bad headache from repeatedly banging my head against this dang
brick wall!

My gr-grandmother was born Amanda Josephine Stroud, probably in
1887 (she lied about her age frequently) in Buchanan GA. Her parents
were William D. Stroud and Merrick Worthy; they were married on
Dec. 11 or 17, 1879, probably in GA too. I have an old diary of that
belonged to my gr-grandma in which she wrote that her father's father
was Andy Stroud and was 1/2 Indian. What tribe of American Indian
is unknown for sure, but is believed to be Cherokee, mainly because
of the locality.

Other Strouds we found in the marriage records for the same general
time and place are as follows:

David J. Stroud m. Ida Worthy 11/30/1879
L. N. Worthy m. Josephine Stroud 12/20/1877
Joseph T. Shelnut m. Amanda M. Stroud 11/8/1874

Not sure if any of these are related but it seems likely!

Hope someone can give me some clues on this family!
