widow's pension application for Sarah E. Mitchell # 502,983

On Nov. 26, 1892, Sarah E. Mitchell, age 27, of Bellsville, Brown Co. Ind.
and her husband James P. Mitchell, age 50, filed statements regarding her
claim.

In Sarah's declaration of pension, she said William Stroud enlisted Jan. 27,
1864. He died Oct. 20, 1876. She was married to him under the name of
Sarah E. Weddle March 24, 1869, at Medora Indiana. There children were:

Geo M. b. Jan. 19, 1871
Marietta b. Aug. 14, 1873
Emizatta b. Jan. 29, 1876

The pension index gave William R. Stroud's service as Co. E 13 Ind Cav and
Co. I 31 Inf.
