Civil War pension William F. Stroud (application 875,398 certificate
628,284)

William F. Stroud enlisted Aug. 26, 1862 and was discharged July 6, 1863.
He said at enlistment he was 5' 4", complexion light, eyes dark, hair dark,
occupation laborer.

On Dec. 17, 1909 he was of New Brunswick, Middlesex Co. New Jersey. He said
he had been born Dec. 15, 1839 at Newark, New Jersey.

In a 1915 questionaire, he said he had maried Harriet Longstreet on Dec. 24,
1863 at New Brunswick NJ. Their children were

Wiliam Stroud b. 17 May, 1866 (dead)
Mary D. Stroud (now Burt) b. July 23, 1864

In an application for reimbursement, his daughter Mrs. Edward Burt said the
full name of the soldier was William Frisbie Stroud. He had been married
once to Harriet Culver Longstreet. She died Feb. 25, 1916. The soldier
died Jan. 20, 1917 of pneumonia, at the residence of his daughter.
