Subject: [STUART] From List Admin: How to send a Post to the list

Dear Listers,
I have received a few misguided queries and an actual request
for a reminder of how to post to the list. I guess it has
been a while for some. <g>
To send a post to the list, use the address:
If you subscribe to the digest version, the address
is the same for sending posts:
Some folks may find it easiest to just reply to an earlier
message received. However, if you choose this method you
must remember to:
1) erase the message that may automatically
pop up in your reply message,
2) change the subject line and
3) be aware that your message, when archived may appear to be
a response to the message you chose to use as an easy way
to post to the list.
When replying to messages on the list, in general, remember to
check the address to be sure it is going back to the list or
to the person who sent it only and to make the appropriate choice.
Messages are not automatically replied to the list. You must choose
to "reply to all" in order for your message to go to the list.
Also please do not quote the entire message that you are replying
to -- everyone received a copy of it and will likely know what
you are replying to.
If you are replying to a message in a digest, remember to change the subject line from
"Digest...." to the subject that best reflects your message.
Yours Aye,
Lauren
