It's hard to search 'England' for his birth. Joseph Edward Stuart was 'age
55' on his death registration Oct 31, 1877, member Ch of England, cause
listed as 'stick from an old mill'. He left wife, Delilah Edmonds Stuart,
children John Sanford b 1855 m Elizabeth Olliver, Anna Malissa m William
Adams, Matthew Henry m Elizabeth Goodman, Alfred Albert Wellington (born
William) b 1866, m Martha Armour (1) and Elizabeth Irwin (2), and Emeline
Lovina d Dec 1877.

Earliest mention of this family we have found is Canadian Census 1861 in
Ameliasburgh, Prince Edward County, Ontario with "Stuart: Edward, Delilah,
John and Anne", the latter three born in Canada. We note Joseph Edward
Stuart is listed as Edward, and we have found many name variations used by
the family in subsequent years. 1871 Census has him listed as Joseph Stuart,
as do family records.

My husband's grandparents were Alfred Wellington Stuart and Martha Armour.
1871 Canadian Census has him listed as William, age 5.

Looking for Joseph Edward Stuart parentage.
