I have a few questions about DNA testing for Stewart/ Stuart relatives.

1. Is there a central location for such a test and if yes, How do I contact?

2. Would such a test help me locate relatives?

3. Do you need other members of your known family to participate in the testing?

4. Has anyone on this list participated and has helped them on their "unknown" relatives?

PS. My oldest relative in my Stuart family is Hiram V. Stuart, b. 1799 MA. That is all that know of his early life and I am hoping that maybe DNA testing would help me locate relatives, if these is a feasible means.
