Does a post that doesn't bring immediate response mean that we should
give up? Or is it worth a re-run?
I still am looking for an overseas Stuart -
Alexander Stuart - b. 1779 (Leslie Parish birth records for that period
are missing???) - d. June 1837 - at age 58. Everybody in the family
(at least my direct line) are well documented. We'd like to know his
parents' names - also wonder whether there are descendants on either side of
the Atlantic from his son -
Charles Stuart - born 17 Aug 1820, Leslie Parish -
married Mary --- ? -
By the 1841 Leslie Parish, Aberdeen Census had two children:
Margaret - b. 1848
Mary A. - b. 1839
Charles's siblings - Alexander Stuart, Jr., and Isobel Stuart Duncan
(Mrs. James) came to U.S. with their widowed mother, Margaret
Lumsden Stuart), so we have kept fairly good track of their
descendants in U.S.
