My 3g-grandfather Robert Stuart, (b18 Feb 1785 in Balquidder, Callandar,
Perthshire, Scotland,
d 1848 in Chicago, IL. Buried in Elmwood Cem., Detroit, MI)
Came to Canada in the early 1800's to join his uncle ("Old Uncle") David
Stuart {b 1766 in Scotland, d 1853 in Detroit}in the fur-trading business
with John Jacob Astor.

DAVID STUART (my gg grandfather), Congressman & US Gen in Civil War
1816-1868
m Sarah Benson (1820-1895)
