PILGRIM FAMILIES OF IPSWICH, SUFFOLK CO.

I am interested in the Pilgrim families of Suffolk Co. and of Ipswich in
particular. I am a descendant of Amos and Mary Pilgrim and their son Amos
Pilgrim who moved to St. Georges Parish, Baltimore, Maryland in 1724. I have
found several Pilgrim's in the area of Suffolk Co. Now I am trying to sort
them all out. I didn't know if anyone else has gotten this confusing line
straight. Here is what I have:

George Pilgrim, died 1698, buried St. Peter's Church, Ipswich, Suffolk Co.
George Pilgrim, born and christened, 1702, St. Peter's Church, Ipswich.
Amos Pilgrim, born and christen on Oct 17, 1707, to Mary and Amos Pilgrim, at
St. Peter's Church, Ipswich.
Record of Amos Pilgrim as an indentured servant to John Dykes of London,
England for 5 years, probably for passage fee to the "New World."
Mary up Amos bis (? can't read the word) 8 Jan 1717, don't know if this is
Amos (Sr.'s) wife or daughter, but appears to be burial of a Mary Pilgrim.
Sarah A.
Susan sw (?) Ipsw. Rd. Stuckforth W. Harwich 19, Feb 1712
This information was obtained via tracking #9000 4721, date June 14, 97,
discription: St. Peters, Ipswich, Sulf., date of documents: 1700-1800,
parrish transcripts, Repository EHL, call no. 993217.
I also have a Family Data Summeries sheet from the LDS church which says that
these children were born to Amos and Mary Pilgrim:
Mary, female, born 3 Oct 1698, George, male, christened 9 Feb 1701, Amos,
Jr., christen 17, Oct 1707, and Sarah, female christen 7 Feb 1712.
Then there is a note that says that George ye son of Amos Pilgrim was buried
Feb 11, 1700.
Can anyone help me fill in the readings on these? There are several that
contradict each other, so I am a bit confused as to what is which. Since I
don't live in England, I am at a bit of disadvantage and am hoping one of you
might take some pitty on an Ameircan cousin and attempt to help me. I will
be very happy to do the same here for anyone stuck in England and needing
help in the states.

I have been to Ipswich and everyone is so charming and nice. I am hoping to
make it back again next spring. It is a beautiful town and area.

St. Peter's Church is still standing although no longer in use, it is located
at St. Peter's Street, College Street and Star Lane in Ipswich. Does any
know if there is a burial map for the graves around the church and who is
buried where? I would like to know where George and Mary are buried in the
church yard. The headstones are mostly unreadable due to the acid rain
effect. It is sad to see.

I would like to know how George was related to this Pilgrim family, ie....
uncle or father, grandfather etc.... Also what was Susan and Sarah and which
Mary was it that is buried in the church graveyard.

Sincerely,

Cheryl Reynolds-Kenter
Amos' and Mary's 10th great granddaughter
